Personality & Traits

General Overview Most people, upon meeting her, consider Siedra to be somewhat modest, but still passionate about her ideals. She is quick to speak up in situations where her knowledge can benefit, or when she feels something important is being missed. She often has a soft smile on her face, and never fails to engage her fellow officers on a professional level.
Strengths & Weaknesses + 2 lifetimes of experience to draw on
+ A relatively calm attitude
+ An almost encyclopedic knowledge of Federation History

- Can tend to lose sight of the big picture getting focused on the minutiae
- Refuses to use transporters (too painful)
- Tends to be overly optimistic.
Ambitions Siedra is young, and still unsure of her ambitions, other than wanting to serve in Starfleet because it aligns with her ideals.
Hobbies & Interests Siedra enjoys games of skill, particularly 3D Chess and poker. She's also a fan of what could charitably be called "cheesy holonovels."

Personal History Early Life

Siedra doesn't care to speak of her early life, but documentation shows that she was orphaned at a young age as both of her parents were in Starfleet during the Dominion War, and died near the end of it. She spent most of her foundational years in an orphanage on Trill, being raised by the various staff, and attending school there.

Siedra attended the Trill Academy of Science once she became an adult, focusing her studies on the nature of the Joining, as well as exobiology as focused on the Symbiont species. She performed phenomenally well, but had no desire to do much of anything with this knowledge other than serve her people. Her ideals changed as she completed this coursework, and she decided to apply to Starfleet Academy.

Siedra was accepted, and fast-tracked to a Librarian and Federation History study program, with the intention of her graduating within 3 years. The idea was that she would spend some time on a starship getting familiar with life in Starfleet, and join the department of Intelligence as a research officer, or join Strategic Operations.

While she excelled at her coursework, she didn't make many friends due to the increasingly heavy workload she placed upon herself.

Approximately a month after her graduation ceremony, as she'd received orders to join the crew of the USS Surak as the Commanding Officer's yeoman, she was approached by Starfleet Medical. A Trill freighter captain was in critical condition in a nearby hospital, and the symbiont was at risk of dying along with the host should the host pass before the symbiont could be removed. While she had always been interested in the process of joining with symbionts among her species, it had never been something she'd been interested in for herself. But her ideals wouldn't let her action or inaction cause another being to die.

Post-joining she took approximately a year's leave of absence to adjust to her new life, and the new memories, experiences, and behavioral quirks overtaking her existence.

In 2399, she was assigned to the USS Apollo as the ship's Yeoman.
